Last minute get-away

Shortly after dealing with the stress and hassle of moving from our house to our temporary townhome, my parents invited us to come to Cabo with them.  It was so nice to get away, enjoy some sun, and much needed family time.  I love these boys so much and I love having time to focus on nothing but playing!

We didn't take a lot of pictures, but we have a lot of underwater videos.  I'll have to post those later.  Thanks to their dad, both of my boys are fantastic swimmers.  You really need to keep your eye on Sherman.  He is not afraid to jump into the water and give you no warning at all.

Everett worked hard at kicking his legs and really learning how to move forward in the water.  He also mastered diving to the bottom for toys!

Winter Weekend

Winter is gone now (fingers crossed), but I wanted to document one of our favorite winter weekends.  We started early Friday with Dad's annual work sledding party.  Such a fun event and a great way to get together with colleagues and friends.
Here are the boys ready to tackle the sledding hill.

Mom's ready for the fun too.  I love tubing!

Bundled and excited for some winter fun.

This was the last run of the night and Eli is FREEZING!  These two boys had so much fun making sled trains and mom and dad had a great time cruising down the mountain with them.  One time we even made a four chain with two moms and two kids - so much fun!

Sherman is still too young for the big hill, so mom and dad took turns playing with him while the other parent took Everett on the hill.  Ryan and Sherman made this great Snowman during my last run down the hill with Everett.  Lots of smiles...now let's go get some hot chocolate and food!

Saturday we headed to the famous ice-castles with some friends.  Since Frozen came out, my kids have been begging to see the castles.  I don't think they were disappointed (I'll add that for the price, I probably wouldn't go again :)).

"Let it Snow, Let it Snow"  Everett is always performing and giving life his all.

We had a great weekend surround by friends and family and the beautiful outdoors.  I love the beautiful state we live in and the great family I get to enjoy it with!

Disney Trip

About two weeks ago Everett received an invitation to go to Disneyland for the weekend with Nana and Papa.  He was thrilled to say the least!!  It was great time for mom and dad too because they had to spend the weekend packing boxes for the move.

When I told him he was going, he immediately asked if he could see Darth Vader, Elsa, and Anna.  Lucky for him, those requests were accomplished.  Great times!!

Rumor has it that the first night the kids didn't fall asleep until well after midnight.  When they arrived at their hotel, they could see the fireworks from their room and were so excited to see mickey light up the sky.  After the fireworks ended, they we're giddy with excitement and struggled to fall asleep.  They finally give in and took a rest before the big day.

Nana with the two grandkids.  Thanks for braving disney with these two little ones.

Cotten candy makes everyone happy!

The first ride Everett went on was star tours.  When he exited the ride he saw that you could make your own lightsaber.  My mom and dad told him that he could make one, but that they would come back at the end of the day.  He waited all day and happily returned to make his custom double blue and green lightsaber.  Magical!
The finished product!

Those eyes are looking tired.  Something tells me they're just refueling for more fun!

The Disney Crew!  What a good looking group of people.

The line to see Elsa and Anna was two hours long, but my mom said Everett was determined to stand in it.  He wouldn't even leave the line to go on another ride because he was afraid he'd miss his turn.  I think it was worth the wait for this little one.  FROZEN...everybody loves it!!

Look at those admiring eyes!

The Last ride before hitting the airport!  Von Voyage!!

His smile says it all!  Big thanks to Nana and Papa for the amazing memories!!

Ice Skating with Dad's Office

One of our favorite things about Dad's job is that they invite us to come play and have fun with them.  A few weeks ago the Lucidchart team headed downtown for some ice skating fun!  Everett had never skated before, but he was determined to master the task and WOULD NOT GIVE UP!  I love watching this boy's determination and love for activity and new things in life.

Sherman really loved skating too.  He was not happy when mom made him get off the ice.  My back could only take so much hunched over skating.  However, once we were off the ice Sherman had a great time playing with his friend Lyla inside.  After skating we headed to the mall for dinner at the food court and then ended the night with a train ride back to our car.  Fun night!!
