Hawaii 2.0: Day 3 - Kaua'i

You can't see them in the photo, but Everett was having a ball chasing around the wild chickens that roam the resort.

We found this yellow pool float in the gift shop and it quickly became Everett's FAVORITE. We still aren't sure how long he will go before wearing out; we gave up before he did.

Hawaii 2.0: Days 1 & 2

Taryn and I are doing our best to enjoy every last minute of this quickly passing summer of family, fun, and unemployment. This week we joined Taryn's folks for one last trip to the Hawaiian islands. Our first two days were spent in Oahu. Tomorrow we'll be transferring to Kaua'i, more pics to come.

Ryan's 30

Last Friday Ryan turned the big 3-0. Happy Birthday sweetheart.

The day began with a slide show for Ryan of Ryan. He then enjoyed a one-hour relaxing massage. Shortly thereafter he went to a local golf course and hit a bucket of balls. Upon returning from the range he was greeted by his family and friends for a big birthday celebration. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, and more food than could be eaten. It was fantastic to see friends from HBS, High School, College, and work. Thank you all for celebrating with us.

Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

7 Months...almost

Everett's not quite 7 months, but I have time to blog right now so I am going to take advantage and document my sweet boy's milestones.

Everett is a very curious 7 month old. He is into everything he can get his hands on. His favorite toys are daddy's book, daddy's phone, and daddy's computer - basically anything daddy has Everett wants. Luckily his daddy is very patient and willing to share.

Everett is becoming more mobile every day. Today I set him down about 5 feet from the stairs, turned my back for 30 seconds, and he was headed full force for the stairs. I leaped to get him and today we escaped the danger of the stairs.

Everett has started patting us on the shoulder. We think it is the cutest thing. I always pat him on the back and I think he is now patting us to show his love - what a sweet boy!

Everett is the joy of our life and we love him so much!
