Immediately following graduation Taryn's parents took us on a short trip to Nantucket. What a marvelous island!
Everett may have had the most fun.
Following the trip Taryn and I returned to Boston to pack it all up. After four days of boxing and one day of packing the POD, our home was empty and we were ready to leave. Months from now when the container is delivered to our doorstep in Dallas we'll see if our packing skills were in fact sufficient.
You'll have to forgive me now. Although blogs of this nature are inherently personal, this post may over do it. Nevertheless, due to the fact that my nonexistent journal is, well, nonexistent, I've decided to utilize Taryn's blog to document a couple of thoughts regarding the end of our time in Boston. My apologies. -Ryan
Back in 2007 I thought I'd never forget how stunned and frightened I felt as I walked away from school with my first distribution of cases and readings. Taryn and I had no idea what the next two years would bring......
.....Ultimately, the workload proved challenging, sometimes overwhelming; nevertheless, as the days passed, each learning, each experience, and each friendship began to coalesce into what now represents our most cherished period of life.
Beyond school, Taryn and I grew closer as she found success and joy in a marvelous professional opportunity, as we both learned and felt love from each other and friends, and finally as we welcomed our marvelous, healthy, and happy son Everett into life.
We will miss Boston, but most of all we'll miss the environment of continual learning and ambition, the treasured friends we grew to love, and the beautiful surroundings we call home.
Taryn and I wish to thank each of those singular individuals that holistically shaped our lives (you know who you are). You will not be forgotten; your impact is now a part of who we are. Thank you.

Today we packed all our worldly possessions into a POD and said goodbye to our home in Allston. Sad! Our home represents a great two years of work, business school, our first child, and the best of friends. These truly have been the best two years.
Ryan and I feel so blessed to have been able to live in Boston. We are very sad to be leaving New England as it has become our home. However, we are excited for the future and know that life will be fantastic in Texas and that we will continue to enjoy life together. We love and miss all our Boston friends already!
I'll post pictures when we return from Nantucket (yes I know, we're spoiled rotten), but I wanted to give a big shout out and congratulations to my fantastic husband Ryan. Yesterday he graduated from the Harvard Business School with a Masters in Business Administration. I am so proud of him! He has worked diligently for two awesome years to complete this great accomplishment. It has been my pleasure to support him and enjoy the HBS experience.
The day began at 6:30am when Ryan lined up on the HBS campus to attend the main university ceremony at the old Harvard Yard. Since only two guests could attend this ceremony I stayed home with Everett and let Ryan's parents attend. Luckily, I was able to watch the celebration on TV. As soon as the the university ceremony ended my parents, Everett, and I raced to the HBS campus to have lunch with Ryan and his parents. Immediately following the luncheon we went to Ryan's graduation where he recieved his diploma. Ryan looked spectacular on the stage and he even carried Everett across with him. What a treat!
I love you Ryan and am sooooooo proud of you!!! Congrats!!!
